The 2025 Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum Annual Passport and Garden Passport

The Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum offers passports for unlimited admission to museum exhibitions and the garden during fiscal 2025.

The Annual Passport

The Annual Passport lets you enjoy the Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum to your heart’s content: the main building, the former residence of Prince Asaka, which has been designated asan Important Cultural Property, and the annex, with its bright, open feel, all exhibitions heldthere, the verdant garden that surrounds the museum, the restaurant, garden shop and café where you can relax while reflecting on your experiences, and the museum shops, which offer original items.
The passport includes not only free admission but also a 5 percent discount on purchases at the restaurant and garden shop, the café, and the museum shop (some products not included).

The Garden Passport

The Garden Passport gives you unlimited access to the historic garden all year long.
The Garden Passport Visit it throughout the year for a remarkable experience, in this corner of the city, of the changing seasons.
This passport also includes a 5 percent discount on purchases at the restaurant and garden shop and 20 percent off the price of admission to the museum s exhibitions.

Major changes in how the passports are sold

For your convenience, we have changed from selling passports only at the museum ticket office to using the methods explained below.

●Applications to purchase an Annual Passport must be carried out either online or via a reply-paid postcard.
• Prior application for the passport, online or by using a reply-paid postcard, is required.
• One person (who will be the passport holder) may apply to purchase only one Annual Passport.
• For details, please see the “Online” and “Reply-Paid Postcard” of this page.
*The passports are sold, as before, at the museum’s Box Office (just inside the Entrance Gate). No prior application is needed.

● Sales of the Garden Passport begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tue. Mar. 25.
● The prices have changed.
Annual Passport : ¥4,000, reduced from ¥6,000 (tax included)
Garden Passport : ¥800, reduced from ¥1,500 (tax included)
● Only the passport holder may enter the museum or garden free of charge.
*Persons accompanying the passport holder pay the usual admission fee.

How to apply

Lottery
After the application period ends, the museum will carry out a lottery to select the passport winners.

Notification of lottery results
All online applicants will be informed of the results by Sun. Mar. 9.

Payment
Pay by Sun. Mar. 16.
A QR code will be sent to those who have completed payment.

Pick up your passport
Tue. Mar. 25, to Sat. May 31
At the Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum’s Box Office (just inside the Entrance Gate)
Bring the QR code and ID.

Please note
●When you pick up your passport, make sure you are prepared to show the QR code (on screen or printed out) sent you after you completed paying for the passport. You must also show an ID document.
Without them, you cannot receive your passport.
●If you are informed that you won the lottery but do not complete payment by the date specified (Mar.16), your passport lottery win will be cancelled.
●If the person who comes to pick up the passport is not the person who applied for it, the lottery win may be cancelled.
●Passport lottery winners who do not come to pick up their passports by the deadline, even if they have paid for them, will not be notified.
●Refunds are not available.

　Record the following information on a reply-paid postcard and put it in the mail:

　Write “the 2025 Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum Annual Passport,”
　Name, Address, Postal code, Telephone number

Front of second card
　Name, Address, Postal code (the person applying to purchase the passport.)

Back of second card
　Leave blank

Lottery
　After the application period ends, the museum will carry out a lottery to select the passport winners.

Notification of lottery results
　The reply postcard with lottery results will be sent by Fri. Mar. 21.

Payment and picking up your passport
Pay when you pick up your passport.

Pick up your passport at the Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum’s Box Office (just inside the Entrance Gate).

Please note:
●The reply-paid postcard must arrive at the museum by the deadline.
●You must bring the postcard notifying you that you won the passport lottery and an ID document. Without them, you cannot pick up the passport.
●Passport lottery winners who have not come to pick up their passports by the deadline will have their lottery win cancelled.
*Each application is for one person only (the person who will be the passport holder).
