THE TETORAPOTZ Mask-making and Live Performance

The Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum is pleased to announce that in connection to the ongoing exhibition, “Garden of Life – 8 Contemporary Artists Venture into Nature,” the museum will host a live performance by THE TETORAPOTZ, a group led by Izumi KATO, one of the exhibiting artists.
This live performance, which has been held for audiences of all ages and genders at art museums and festivals in Japan and overseas, including at an elementary school in Mexico in 2020, will take place on the large lawn at the Teien Art Museum. There will be a station for visitors to create masks similar to the members, so make your own mask and sing and dance along!

Time: October 31, 2020 (Sat), 3:00 p.m. (approx. 1hour)
Mask-making event will be held from noon until 2:00 p.m. (Reception begins at 11:30 a.m., concludes at 1:30 p.m.)
Participation is welcome at any time during this period. However, the event will conclude when materials run out.

Location: Lawn at the Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum

*Prior reservations are unnecessary. Participation is free of charge (admission to the museum or garden is required).

*It is possible to participate only in the live performance, as well as to leave early.

*The performance will be cancelled in case of rain.

*Be certain to read the following guidelines regarding the prevention of COVID-19.

THE TETORAPOTZ is a five-man band that was born of an art exhibition. They are active primarily in the context of art museums, art projects, and art-related events. All aspects of the musical, visual, stage, and record production are handled by the band members themselves, all of whom are also active independently in the visual arts.

Measures to Prevent COVID-19
Participants in the live performance and mask-making event must cooperate with the following precautions.
・Those feeling unwell on the day of the event should not participate.
・Your temperature will be taken at the entrance to the art museum.
(Please understand that those with temperatures above 37.5°C will not be allowed entry)
・Please thoroughly disinfect your hands.
・Wear a mask during the entire event.
・Please follow any other directives or notices from the museum and museum staff members.
