Decoration never dies, anyway
ARTIST TALKS

The planning for the exhibition, “Decoration never dies, anyway,” started from a discussion: “What, in fact, is this thing we call ‘decoration?'” The seven artists participating in this exhibition didn’t necessarily set out to create on the theme of decoration. Each of the seven used their own approach, conversing with modern society to bring forth rich and varied expressions that challenge us to rethink “decoration” from various angles.

In this program, we will hear from five artists (six people, because two work together as one artist), including one who is visiting Japan for the first time . They will give 20-minute presentations about their activities and works, and the concept of this exhibition. (There will be an opportunity for questions following each presentation.)
