Purchasing Tickets
Exhibition tickets may be purchased online in advance.
Reservations and ticket sales open one month prior to the start of each exhibition. Same-day tickets may also be purchased at the Box Office at the Main Gate. However, the number of same-day tickets are limited during the exhibition “Timeless Art Deco with Van Creef & Arpels High Jewelry”, you may not be able to purchase the tickets even if you visit the museum. Tickets for the exhibition “Timeless Art Deco with Van Creef & Arpels High Jewelry” will be sold in three periods.

  • During the timed ticket sale period, each day (from the museum’s opening to closing hours) will be divided into eight slots.
  • The tickets are for a specific date and time only.
  • Please enter the museum within a hours of the specified time (Ex: visitors with tickets for the 10 a.m. slot must enter by 11 a.m.).
  • There are no particular restrictions on length of stay after admission into the museum. The tickets are also valid for entry into the garden.
  • Last admission for the 5 p.m. slot is 5:30 p.m. (the museum closes at 6 p.m.).
  • Depending on congestion, visitors may need to wait to enter even if they have tickets.
  • A ticket for admission to the exhibition also admits you to the garden.

Garden Admission

Admission to the garden only is available-there’s no need to book. Please come directly to the Box office.

Free or Discounted Admission

  • Admission is free for visitors (and two accompanying persons) with a Physical Disability Certificate, Intellectual Disability Certificate, Rehabilitation Certificate, Mental Disability Certificate, or Atomic Bomb Survivor’s Certificate. Please inform the staff.
  • Admission is free for seniors (65 and above) on the third Wednesday of each month. Please show your ID to the staff.
  • Admission is free for middle school students and children under middle school age.
  • 20% discount for exhibition and garden admission apply for “Tomonokai” members or annual passport holders of facilities operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture.
  • 20% discount for exhibition or garden admission apply for panel picture holder taken at the “Institute of Nature Study.”
  • 20% discount for exhibition or free for garden admission apply for “Garden passport” holders.
  • Free of exhibition admission for “Looking at Architecture 2025“and garden admission apply for “TOKYO museum gurutto PASS” holders. 20% discount for “Timeless Art Deco with Van Creef & Arpels High Jewelry“. (admission for College Students, high school students and Seniors[65 and over] is not discounted)
  • 20% discount for exhibition or garden admission apply for “TOKYO Travel Guide” holder
  • Free of exhibition admission for “Looking at Architecture 2025“ and garden, 20% discount of exhibition admission for “Timeless Art Deco with Van Creef & Arpels High Jewelry“ for the students, faculty and staff member of the “Partner Ship School”.
  • Other various membership benefits holders.
  • The third Saturday of each month and the following Sunday are Family Days, on which admission to the garden is half-off for Tokyo residents accompanying children under 18 years of age. Guardians are required to bring proof of residence in Tokyo.
  • 20% discount for garden admission apply for “TOKYO Futari Marriage Support Passport” holders.
  • *Our online reservation system does not offer you a discount.

    Please purchase the same-day ticket at the Box Office on your visit day, if you wish to purchase discount tickets. However, please note that the number of same-day tickets for “Timeless Art Deco with Van Creef & Arpels High Jewelry” is limited, and you may not be able to purchase them even if you visit the museum.


    Group Reservations

  • 20% discount on admission will apply for group of 20 or more paying visitors.

  • School Group Visits (Free Admission)

  • For groups of elementary, junior high, and high school students from Tokyo accompanied by teachers.

Additional Information(No advance reservation required)

The following individuals are not required to make reservations in advance on your visit day. Please inform the staff.

  1. Those who visit only Garden (the Garden Passport holders included)
  2. Holders of invitation envelopes, invitation tickets and annual passports
  3. Holders of ”Tokyo Museum gurutto PASS” who visit the museum during the exhibition period of “Looking at Architecture 2025”
  4. Physical Disability Certificate, Intellectual Disability Certificate, Rehabilitation Certificate, Mental Disability Certificate, or Atomic Bomb Survivor’s Certificate holders and two accompanying persons.
  5. Middle school students and children under Middle school age
  6. Those aged 65 and over (only on the third Wednesday of every month)
