Creating Landscapes – Gazing into the Gaze
![Kazuhiro Ishiyama, Gaze from the Landscape [Louvre-Lens], 2025](https://www.teien-art-museum.ne.jp/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/4406d12e9c2f3b9eb72f886f072010a6-1024x475.jpg)
This exhibition features the work of artist Kazuhiro Ishiyama (1981-), who currently works primarily with photography, creating pieces that focus on “landscape” as one of his key themes. The works in this exhibition are based on Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum in summer and Louvre-Lens in early summer. Each piece is composed of multiple photographs, giving viewers the sense that they are standing in front of an actual landscape while also depicting a highly detailed, information-rich scene that does not exist. By gazing at the gaze itself that observes the landscape, we hope you will enjoy the “landscape” that extends beyond the work.
